Around 500 new homes have already been built at the Chase Farm development off Arnold Lane, with residents having already moved into the new houses and apartments.

And more details of phase 2 of the project, which will see a further 431 homes built, including 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses plus apartments, have emerged in planning documents submitted to Gedling Borough Council by Armstr

Gedling Borough Council has been urged to “adapt to the times” after failing to maintain contact with some homeless people in the area.

A report by an outside firm, presented to the council’s Audit Committee on Tuesday, marked the failure to keep in contact with some of those made homeless and get regular status updates as an ‘area of concern’.

On eight out of 30 (27%) occasions, “the Council had made no contact with the client in the last six months.”

Leaders across Nottinghamshire have called for more vaccination sites with uptake still concerningly low certain parts of the county.

While the nation has entered 'Omicron emergency' with people urged to get their booster dose across the country, a considerable number of people in Nottingham still have not received their first jab.

Worryingly, just over half the population of Radford has received one vaccine, Government interactive figures show.

Only 42.7 percent of the people living in the s

The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has told Gedling Borough Council to “get their act together” after the failure of its latest bid was announced in October.

The extra funds from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund would have been used to improve the leisure and cultural hub in Arnold, improve Netherfield’s connectivity, and kickstart Gedling’s high streets by repurposing vacant and underused shops.

A total of 305 Levelling Up Fund bids were received on or before the fund’s closing date, includ

A group of Arab women from Nottingham are hoping to encourage public conversations about racism and abuse as they say they are often made to feel like outsiders in the city.

They say their children are sometimes targeted and that questions about their headscarves are also an issue.

Five members of Heya Nottingham took part in a ‘Walk the Talk’ around the city last month from Brian Clough’s statue near the Old Market Square to the National Justice Museum.
